Look: Pours black with a good retaining head.
Aroma: Typical Belgian notes. Stone fruit, fig, sweet bread. Not much hops to speak of considering this is a 'Belgian Black India Pale Ale', old bottle perhaps?
Taste: Typical darker-beer notes, bitterness on the front of the tongue, good smokiness, some dark chocolate coming through, bitterness in the finish. Again, no hops to speak of.
A decent beer, may have gotten to this one a bit to late to appreciate it for what it's called.

Pours black with a large off white head.
Nose shows figs, chocolate, sultanas as well as piny and resinous hops.
Mixture of black ipa and old ale in terms of flavours. Soft roast and piny hops but also some figs and port-like notes.
