Brewed especially for the heat of the summer.
As in most early societies, native Mesoamerican people such as the Maya and Aztec were brewing grain-based alcoholic beverages (primarily from maize corn) long before the Spanish arrived in Mesoamerica.
We used about 30% corn in this beer which contributes very little color or flavor; resulting in a super clean, super light bodied and flavored lager.
Enjoy it with a lime if you like.

so it turns out that corn can be a cool adjunct ingredient in craft beer, it doesnt always have to mean cheap watery macro lagers, and in this case, i think its a really cool edition to this beer, something that makes it very distinct, and perhaps something we might see start to trend in the craft world here pretty soon. this is a great lager, clean and fresh and definitely a little sweet and truly corny in the middle, which i think makes it distinct for being such a basic beer in a basic style. hard to set those types apart, and the corn really does that, its supper light and summery, perfect in the hot kansas city summers, better than central air to cut the humidity in my mind. pale yellow, incredibly clear, holds its head. smells fresh and cerealy, cornflakes and corn pops, that kind of flavor from the corn, more processed than raw. the lager yeast is really mild too, just drying this out but not providing much flavor. its light in alcohol and body, but radiant in carbonation and as such a really perfect summer brew. i like what these guys are up to lately, they have some really good beers pouring right now. this is just different enough to stand out. uno mas!
