Thin creamy head and an attractive raisin brown color.
Only aroma is a benign sweetness. Might have developed more as this warmed up.
I enjoy the caramel/candy malt flavor, which comes back in the finish.
Definitely drinkable, satisfies my sweet tooth. Maybe not New Belgium or Ommegang but a good brewpub dubbel.

Served in a hurricane glass which I thought was odd. I took a lot of crap from my buddies for that. Black pepper and brown sugar come through well in the nose. Soft malts also. Cloudy orange color which I dont really think is right for style. Thick foamy head with lots of lace. Notes of pepper, orange/lemon, and sugar in each drink. Valvety smooth with subtle carbonation. Not a bad whack at a Belgian. I would get it again.
