a really nice one from these guys, one of their first sours i have seen or heard of or had, and its real well done. light and bright, fully on trend, dry hopped lusciously, and not too sour to be drinkable by the pint, i think the final ph is just right on this. super pale and bright in the glass, more or less clear, especially for the style, and patchy white headed. i smell a super clean and slightly citric lacto profile, very efficient as a fermenter, and maybe just one strain, a little yogurty, but cleaner than most. the hops are likely citra and mosaic, or some similarly in vogue combination, its fruity and citrusy and really fresh, all dry hoppy, no bitterness at all, and the flavor is the same as the nose on both the sourness and the hops, really well dialed in for something new for these guys. tart but not sour, its mouthwatering and refreshing, but its not harsh on the teeth or the guts, and its very delicate overall. i love it being so dry, pils malty, and hoppy, its simple but its very well done. a well executed beer in a new direction for these guys, who somehow remain way underappreciated in the local scene in kansas city. their beer has never gotten the credit it deserves...
