Our Oktoberfest is rich with malt and balanced, spicy German hops. The flavor is slightly sweet yet crisp and smooth.

Surprisingly, this is one of the better beers at McCoys. I only wish it was around during the rest of the year.
Unlike many of the other McCoys brews, this beer has a nice full body to it - just the right balance of flavor and wetness. It isn't overly watered down nor extra dry.
It doesn't have a lot of the hops flavors that I associate with Oktoberfest beers, but I'm not complaining in this case. They've made a really nice lager out of this beer and its going to be all I drink there until its all gone.

Like many of it s American counterparts, I am not sure this brew is a true German-style marzen. The bew presents with the proper orange amber color adn faomy whitish head, but from there the similarities to the German Oktoberfest beer stops. The aggressive hopping leads to a powerful lingering bitterness along with a sharp malt character. None of the characteristic bready German malt flavor is present. This really is more of an American lager with a sharp malt flavor thrown in. Not one of my favorties.
