The weekly cask. Blind Ambition Belgian Abbey Dubbel brewed with Centennial Hops. Week of 1/7/18.
Pours just like the regular Ambition. Deep crimson hued amber, but with a creamy head of white foam that forms at the top from the rising brown bubbles, just as you’d see in a nitro beer or any other cask beer.
This will be brief, as the aroma and flavor profile stay fairly true to the Ambition. However, a clear enhancement on the malt qualities rings out surprisingly, and while the hop variation is the major point of this cask, the creamy body left this one smooth and with hardly any lingering bitterness. Still dominated by malt and caramel, a pleasant sweetness emerges, and the result is a beer that is arguably even more balanced than regular Blind Ambition. Hope to see this one rotate through again.
