A Belgian style Amber ale with good malt structure, faint undertones of chocolate and a beautiful copper amber hue. This new batch will clock in with moderately strong alcohol and low bitterness levels.

Pours Carmel dark color with fluffy white khaki fading foamy cap. Strong malty notes. Very good dark Belgium smooth and malty with tingling mouthfeel of tiny bubbles of carbonation from our local micro Ladyface brewery. ABV is now 8% (not as listed here).

Good malt and chocolate base. Taste is crisp as I anticipated. All in all a slightly above average beer.

A: Pours a dark amber with crimson highlights under a one-inch thick off-white/light tan head which leaves splotches and spots of lace.
N: Caramel malts, grainy, faint roast, mild dark fruits.
T: Dark fruits (raisin, figs, dates), mild yeast, roasty malts, faint esters.
M: Moderate body and medium carbonation. Finishes smooth with yeast and malt and dark fruity esters.
O: Identified as an "Abbey Dubbel" on the board. Fairly unremarkable.
