A good beer no doubt, but it’s so malt dominant that I was looking for a bit more. You get a little bit of dried fruit, like subtle dates with that bit of pit flavor.

I’m guessing this is the “New” weizenbock as of about a week ago, but its listed as 7.7% at the restaurant and on the website.
A – Dark rich brown, similar to coffee, limited head production, but leaves a little lacing and bubbles on the sides of the glass.
S – Sweet malt, and a little fresh yeast.
T – Very nutty and on the sweet side, the yeast is an interesting balance. But the malt is dominate in the body of the beer.
M – Medium and balanced, carbonation was light, but it was from a growler, but the growler had just been filled about 10-15 minutes prior to enjoying.
O – Decent stuff, but caught off guard because it presented itself more as a brown ale. I’d recommend this stuff to someone at the restaurant.
