On-tap at Oakquinox
A: The pour is a dark amber/copper color with a smallish off-white head.
S: Red wine dominates the aroma. Intense red grape and fruit aroma, with a touch of cherry. There is a nice oakiness to it and perhaps a subtle tartness. Sweet caramel and toffee with an overall dark fruit character.
T: The flavor is very much the same as the aroma. Quite a bit of tart fruit, which I wasn't really expecting. Cherry, plum, and raisin with some caramel and toffee. Lots of wine and oak flavor are also present.
M: Medium in body with the carbonation is on the low end of medium.
O: Of the Ladyface beers being offered at the festival, this was probably the best by default.
