A deep, cloudy rust copper color. Quarter inch of head. Sour grapes on the nose, slight woodiness. Definitely some funk in this one, just hints of that Brett inclusion. The wine is definitely evident as well to go along with notes of dark fruit and Belgian spice. Overall a good beer, one that may actually be on the mild side for me. That could be good for some people, but the style begs more.

On tap at Blue Palms
Pours a darker reddish purple and a little head that vanishes quick
Tart wine nose, a little wood.
Tart and sweet almost simultaneously. Woody. Belgian yeast funk on the back end. That mixed with the tart and sweet almost give it a medicinal flavor.
A little thin, carbonation is decent.
Overall, pretty good. No major complaints, but nothing to be overly excited about.

On-tap at Oakquinox

A: The beer pours a cloudy dark amber color with an off-white head.

S: Dark fruits and wine to open up the nose. A mild tartness but quite a lot of wine and oak to it, and sweet caramel malts. There's a slight spiciness which I assume is from the Syrah wine and the oak.

T: Fairly sweet with a nice spice note from the base Belgian yeast. Dark fruit notes as well as some brown sugar and caramel. Mild vanilla flavor and plenty of wine and oak. The tartness isn't as pronounced as expected. It tastes a bit watery, unfortunately.

M: Medium in body with a low to medium level of carbonation.

O: Sort of an unremarkable beer. I did enjoy it, but it didn't but it had plenty of flaws.
