Thanks to wethorseblanket for sharing this one at drewone’s tasting.

Pours a clear amber with a beige head that fades to nothing. No lacing on this one. Smell is of malt, caramel, and herbal and pine hop aromas. Taste is of malt and extreme herbal, pine, and vegetal hop flavors. There is a pretty harsh bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has no carbonation with a flat but medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a poor beer with some extremely earthy and leafy hop flavors.

Just released on 6/1/12. Named after a local historic landmark.

A: Pours a clear reddish amber with an initial 1/4-inch big bubbled slightly off-white head which leaves little lace.

N: Pronounced citrus (grapefruit and tangerine) and pine, followed by malty sweetness and some floral and fruity notes.

T: Plenty of sweetish and biscuity caramel malts are balanced by a sticky resiny/pine hop blast with some citrus for good measure. Somewhat earthy.

M: Medium body and semi-medium carbonation. Sweet malts. Alcohol is well hidden. 100 IBU makes for a bitter and dry finish.

O: A good, strong imperial red. Not for the faint of heart. Get it while you can as it is fresh and on-tap.
