The cask of the week featuring Chesebro IPA with Nelson Sauvin hops.
A: Pours a clear amberish orange with a 1-inch foamy white head which fades to a thin cap leaving spotty lace.
N: Extremely aromatic with citrus (grapefruit and tangerine) along with tropicals (passion fruit), resiny pine, floral, white grapes, some malt sweetness. Very perfumy.
T: Sticky pine with oily resin and dankness. Sweet malt keeps this balanced along with the semi-sweet vinous quality from the Nelson Sauvin hops. Floral and herbal.
M: Semi-full body and moderate carbonation. The cask serving imparts a rounded softness almost like cotton. Dry and bitter finish with some spices also.
O: Nice combination of white wine grape with herbal spice and floral and pine makes for a light feeling from the cask, yet the high ABV provides a good punch. Get some before it's gone.
