On tap for the 4th Annual LA Beer Week Beer Festival at Union Station in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a murky crimson with a foamy reddish-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Tons of sediment is seen floating around in the glass after the pour. Smell is of malt, grain, and lots of fruity prickly pear aromas. Taste is much the same with a mild astringent bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but it seems like something went wrong with incorporating the fruit into the beer due to all of the sediment and whatnot.
