a well made but not particularly interesting beer. i liked it fine, but have heard their other stuff is far more compelling. pale blonde beer with a tall airy white head on it. aroma is fresh pale cereals, none of he dusty german malt thing you sometimes get in the imported kolsch styles. no appreciable yeast character here in aroma or flavor, which i think is a missing element in the beer, but its clean and bright and could easily be mistaken for a light european lager. a little grassy hop quality in the finish keeps it from being downright boring, but it still doesnt move me much. beers like this are fine for drinking a whole mess of, but i always dislike when they end up being my first (and in this case only) impression of a craft brewery, because its hard to learn anything about a place through a beer like this. very light body, fine carbonation, and a real clean dry finish. good for a full belly because it is so easy going, but not as flavorful as i like my kolsch types to be, and a fine but forgettable beer overall.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a light gold color with a white head. Aroma is grainy and malty, fresh barley especially. Flavor follows in kind. Maybe a tiny hint of fruitiness, melon possibly. More of a blonde ale than a kolsch. At least try to get the style right.
