West Virginia Golden Wheat has a cloudy yellow body and a frothy white head. The head leaves some thin, wispy lacing on my glass.
The aroma is packed with wheat, making a sweet, almost tart smell.
I think it's fair to call this one a bold wheat beer. Wheat dominates the flavor, with layers of wheat bread, sweetness and a little bit of a tangy tartness. Very light fruit flavors, and just a hint of spiciness in the background. The malted wheat runs the show in this one.
Nice mouhtfeel, full and creamy.
This is a solid wheat beer, and for two bucks at happy hour it was a steal.

Pours an excellent cloudy golden color with some nice head and a bit of nice lacing throughout. Great deep wheat malt scent; huge and thick with a slight peppery aroma just underneath. Excellent taste, a great thick and deep wheat beer; this is not a pansy wheat beer with flavoring, but a hugely malty wheat beer with depth and character from the wheat itself; there is a slight pepper flavor in the back, something to add another slight dimension. It's a thick wheat beer, a real American wheat that is refreshing without being weak.
