Pours a very nice ruddy copper color with some decent head and very nice lacing. Excellent scent; huge bourbon aromas with a slight malt undertone. Wonderful taste if you like bourbon barrel aged brews; huge bourbon flavors matched up wonderfully with the Dolly Sods Scottish style ale; huge bourbon flavors with a nice slight malty backing. Went down very well -- both rough and smooth -- to be expected with a smooth beer and bourbon attributes. This was a great match up. I don't typically care for bourbon aged brews, but this one was wonderful.
