appearance: pours a hazy copper with moderate carbonation, light foam that dissipates leaving a light filmy lacing.
smell: scent of more-spice-than pumpkin, slight note of sweet hops.
taste: smooth and mellow throughout, however, the infusion of spices is more overpowering than the pumpkin notes, yielding an aftertaste with what tastes like too much cinnamon/nutmeg/cloves that comes off as too artificial/syrup-like.
drinkability: the spices are a little too overdone, which overshadow the mellow pumpkin taste and mellow balance of malt and hops, drinkable, but could be turned one off by the power of the spice flavor in relation to the rest of the beer.

This is a wonderful pumpkin ale. Probably the best of its kind that I've ever had. Pours a great hazy deep orange color with very nice head and some decent lacing. It has a wonderully deep malty scent with excellent hints, not overwhelming, of pumpkin pie spice, mostly cinnamon. Great taste, it has a great deep malty back with good spices thrown in, but to boost it up it has a great residual sweetness from the huge amounts of pumpkin that were put into the mash. Goes down wonderfully smooth with a great aftertaste.
