A blackish brown brew with a thin tan head that has nice lacing and retention. The smell is roasted chocolate, coffee and some dark fruits and spices. The taste starts out with some roasted dark chocolate followed by a slight coffee flavor and than some sweetness from the fruit kicks in before chocolate comes back for the final taste. Mouthfeel is rather sticky on the lips and tongue, but still rather easy drinking. Overall in excellent tasting porter that I will be drinking often when going to North Peak. This is a must try for anyone living in or visiting Traverse City,
