Black with a tan head & aromas of chocolate & vanilla. Creamy & drinkable with a deep roasted chocolate flavor balanced by a pleasant vanilla note.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid little porter pours a dark
blown with ruby highlights and a very nice head of khaki foam that settles
to a thick ring, thin layer, and displays some very nice lacing. Nose of
toasted malts, subtle coffee, subtle dark cocoa, subtle vanilla, and
subtle char. Flavors surpass the nose with a nice presentation of
dark cocoa, moderate coffee, subtle char, deep roast, earthy vanilla,
and some dark rye bread notes. Mouth feel is medium, medium
carbonation, smooth, lightly coating, and finishing moderately bitter
from the malt.
Overall, a solid little porter.
Cheers

12 ounce can, 07/31/25 stamped on the bottom of the can, not sure if it's the canned on or best before date. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this can! Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a dark brown color with a bit of a ruby reddish tinge to it. There's not quite an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good enough. The brew smells like chocolate, vanilla, and some roastiness. I think the taste is pretty much the same as the aroma, but there's also the addition of a bit of coffee flavor. Vanilla is noticeable but subtle in both the taste and aroma. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's coating and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. Thought this was a decent enough brew, wish the vanilla had more of a kick but that's a minor complaint. Worth a try if you come across some!
