Nice clean, dark-golden look.....not cloudy. Nice on the nose. Hints of tangerine, pineapple, orange and melon. Long bready, biscuity aftertaste with subtle hints of tropical fruit. Smooth feel, medium body, longer than average finish.

"Brewed & Bottled by Hopfen und Malz Brewing Co., San Jose, California." Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. It's a pale, yellow-gold color, and quite clear. The head is average in thickness, as is the carbonation.
This is a pleasant, easy-drinking beer. No substantial bitterness or aftertaste. Perhaps a bit less yeasty than average for a kölsch. Bottom line: mild, smooth, pretty average for the genre... and thus a great value due to Costco pricing.

A lighter crisper beer that has a slight Kolsch finish. Easy drinking beer.
