Sixty pounds of spruce tips harvested for this beer were gathered by students who lost their summer employment due to covid. Foraging ingredients for this beer allowed them to get outside, do something productive, and put some money in their pockets. This beer is made to celebrate the hard working families in the Upper Susitna Valley.
