Appearance - This poured a murky light orange in color with a nice foamy ring around the top.

Smell - The rich banana and light yeast were right up my alley.

Taste - The banana came over nicely from the smel but the rest of the flavor profile kind of fell apart. There wasn't enough yeast to supply the structure so the flavors were all over the place.

Mouthfeel - This was in between light and medium-bodied but lacked the fluffy carbonated feel that I personally demand of the style.

Sinkability - I couldn't even finish this sorry effort. They did a good job with the banana character but everything else missed the mark.

On-tap at Callahan's

A: The pour is the typically cloudy golden color with a fluffy white head. Points taken away from the appearance for the lemon wedge that it was served with.

S: A pleasant surprise as I bring this one to my nose: clove! There really is too much clove here, but that along with a mild banana note, is really much better than the usual crappy pale wheat ales.

T: Like with the nose, the cloves really dominate the flavors of the beer. The banana comes through more than it did in the aromas, however. There is just a tinge of tartness on the finish.

M: A light to medium bodied beer with a somewhat low carbonation.

D: Not the best hefeweizen, but at least it is one. I'd recommend this one if you're at Callahan's.
