Poured from undated can into a pint glass. It pours a dark mahogany with cola hues at the bottom of the glass, and a large, foamy, khaki-colored head and soapy lacing. The smell is mostly roasted malt with some whiffs of chocolate, caramel, and nuts. The taste is primarily malty but with a nice dose of semi-sweet chocolate. There are hints of caramel and burnt nuts. It has a creamy mouth feel and the 7.5% ABV gives it good substance. Overall, a solid American Porter that would nicely accompany a burger, cheese steak or other pub fare.
