Good orange color to the beer, more of auburn dark kind of orange. Aroma was bitter, but not imparting enough/any hop aromas beyond that.
Taste hit the same grapefruit bitter notes. Lots of crystal malt. Lots of c hops. Plenty of heavy caramel malt notes.
Bomber format sucks, but at least it isn't super expensive, although it still is 2x as much as you should pay per oz.

I had Bogart on tap at the Bier Stein. This is a balanced IPA in the East Coast style featuring malts slightly more than hops. If you're looking for a hop bomb you won't get it despite the 99 ibu. The high IBU are well hidden by the hops and the IPA has very little noticeable bitterness. Its more hop forward than Bad Henry. The use of centennial, simcoe, hercules, and willamette hops creates an interesting and complex hop character.
This goes well with food and is pleasant for someone who is looking for a more complex ipa rather than one featuring hops.

Huge head more than half the glass. Lacings all over the place.
Smell is pine and sweet malts.
Taste is sweet and piney bitterness, Malt bomb, with plenty of grapefruit hoppiness.
Mouthfeel is full, lots of carbonation.
Overall like the biggest Double Pale Ale you ever had. Head is incredible, just keeps surging with each pour. Lacing is relentless. Don't know how to classify this beer but it is amazing. Tastes great too.

Poured a clear burnt orange into an impy nonic with a large blooming slight off white head that left alot of pond scum behind as it settled very slowly into a frothy mass.Big caramel/biscuit malt aromas mixed with orange andpine hops, the hops are not big and in your face bit it's a pleasant enough nose.Deeply malty up front on the palate with a decent amount of sweetness the hops are more herbal orange-like in the finish, not a bitter citric bomb.A smooth creamy feel is another good point to this beer,it's well crafted but not overly hopped,I will say the malt profile is very good.

650ml bomber picked up from Belmont Station in Portland, OR.
Pours a deep amber-golden hue, with a fine, but noticeably bubbled head of white. Some streaming fine carbonation. Minimal lacing. Body looks solid, however: thicker than its 6.9% would suggest. Not bad.
Pronounced, pungent and relatively robust pine characters on the nose dominate. Some slippery, grainy, almost savoury malt characters give a touch of depth underneath, but the oily, resiny pine is potent—perhaps a touch too much, and it ends up being something of a one-note aroma.
Taste is similar. Pronounced graininess gives a rustic English quality to the brew, while the pine really dominates the mid to back, leaving a cutting resin on the palate with really quite intense and unbalanced bitterness. No, to be fair, it's not overtly bitter, but the quality of the bitterness is harsh, meaning it feels more unpalatable than it is.
Feel is light but smooth: a point in its favour.
Overall, I really should give it more than "average", but it's a pretty mediocre and "average" IPA in my opinion. There's not a lot of class or art to its construction, and there are a stack of others out there that I feel are better.

Bomber served cold into a goblet.
Bogart is a hazy amber color with thick white head. It settles slowly and leaves some great lacing behind.
Aroma is hoppy but not huge or over the top. The pine and grapefruit are probably the most forward.
Flavor is similar in chacter with good balance and a nice hop profile. There is a really pleasant sweetness with honey and tropical fruit.
Mouthfeel is very smooth and perfectly carbonated. Bottle conditioning done right.
Overall a really enjoyable NW IPA.

Served from bottle, bought in Oregon. Drank on 7/6/2011 (going through older notes).
A: Amber, pretty clear. Medium head and retention. Darker than expected for an IPA.
S: Caramel; candy sugar or fruit-flavored candy.
T: Both, bitter and malty, but balanced between the two. Caramel sweetness. Apples / fruit esters.
M: Fairly heavy. Smooth, but I wish it was drier.
O: Nothing too special, and too malty for my tastes in IPA's. Definitely not bad, but it was the third Oregonian IPA in a row that we tried and definitely the least interesting of the bunch.

22oz bottle into tulip snifter.
Pours a hazy golden orange with a thick, billowy bone-white head.
Big citric hops, with a light pine kick and a light biscuit malt backing.
Taste is citric and bitter pine hops mixed with a slight biscuit note.
A medium-light body with active carbonation.
An enjoyable IPA, pleasant mix of hop notes and malts.
