The beer was poured at the San Diego Brewing Co brewpub. It was poured into a pint glass, with a darker brown-black coloring with a thin, sparse tan head. The beer has muddled spices on the nose, which are subtle and hard to pinpoint. The beer has flavors of cherry cordial and nut, with a light, sour undertone to the brew. The beer has a spicy (nutmeg) aftertaste, with a sour finish. I can appreciate what they were going for with this seasonal, but the beer itself wasn't strong enough to balance all the spice and flavors it was trying to present.
