Grove Street's Amber is unabashedly sweet and malty in its flavor and smell, with a hint of butter to the taste. Its color is deep oaken with luxuriant clarity and medium carbonation but no lather or lace. Its golden hue glistens brilliantly in the barlight.
But the malts know few bounds and are scarcely kept in check by any form of hops. It's almost perplexing that hop flavor and smell are so brazenly absent. But if you're in the mood for a malt maverick, this one will serve admirably.
