Gold coloured German Lager arrived in a .3L Stange/Pilsner glass. 2.5 finger (3 finger to everyone else) collapsed to a .5 finger head within about 4-5 minutes, if that.
Appearance was slightly cloudy as if a chill haze, but turned out to be the beer is naturally conditioned to drop and is cited as Natural-Pils. I interpreted this as unfiltered, although there are two different plate and frame filters in the basement area (saw them) that had pads in them, parked. Surmise that this brewery reuses its pads over multiple batches, just back flushing. A sem-popular method, just when the pads get full, there is bleed thru. I will assume I got a batch from an old set of pads, for this beer and their Dunkel (which I will also review). They also advertise that they pasteurize their beer.
Aroma had a grainy smell (appealing), but with a sulfur note which was totally not appealing. Thinks of the pasteurizing and ponders a few more sips...
Mouthfeel was pretty crisp without any hanging aftertaste, finishing crisp. The Sulfur note from aroma kept haunting me through my entire glass.
Drinkablility, very average. Would not order a second. Have a real sense of Been there, Done that... Visit will be second, without a second. Sorry to brewmaster Maik Heptner, prolly will not be back.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
