12 oz. can, best by date smeared on bottom of the can. A new one to me from Sleepy Dog Brewing, and apparently my second beer from these guys. This one brewed for Sleepy Dog by their brewery in Warrenville, IL.
Poured to a La Fin Du Monde tulip.
A - Pours a nice coppery orange body, semi-decent clarity, about a finger's worth of off-white or khaki colored head that falls to a ring and a surface skimming.
S - Clean bready malts, faint hints of cola spicing. Slight whaff of booze. Pumpkin pie crust & notes of brown sugar creep out as the beer sits.
T - Bready & malty, with notes of pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, brown sugar. Not overly aggressive.
M - Feel is smooth, crisp, with apt carbonation.
Overall, love pumpkin beers and this one is not offensive. Pie crust, & spices could maybe stand to be amped up just a touch.
