A dark, rich, aromatic, and malty specialty. Rottie fans tend to be pushy and territorial, so under no circumstances should you steal their bar stool.

Pours a lovely black with a reddish hue to it. It's actually a bit devilish in that you think you see that lovely red and then you don't. Fat creamy head of chocolate colored foam that falls fine and leaves a good layer of bubbles and lace to look at as you drink. Nose is a bit of bread. Rich dark bread with a baked grain sweetness on it. Sweet chocolate and a bit of morning coffee. There's a dark fruit in there too. Drinks like a charm. It has an expansive mouthfeel but with the lower abv it drinks relatively light. The roast is a bit dry and a touch bitter. it has a light faint bit of dark fruit on the palate but not as strong as it is on the nose. Same with the chocolate. On the nose it's a touch sweet and in the drink it's more like cocoa powder which is not in itself sweet. This one has a taste like dark bread with the crusts. A baked sweetness that is not sugary. A bit of carbonation takes it gently over the palate and it finishes dry and that is where the lactose sweetness and the chocolate combine for a touch of milky sweetness. A brisk dry finish with a bit of mild morning coffee and only the dryness and the crusty bread lingers. Excellent!

16oz draft pour is a gorgeous light-sucking mahogany brown body floating a cocoa colored 1/2in head of mixed bubbles and leaving sheets of sticky lacing.
Aroma and flavor is dark chocolate, cocoa, and milk chocolate dominant, with peanut overtones.
Mouthfeel is thick, creamy, and full. A reminder of reeses is left behind with a cocoa powder grit.
Overall a really nice desert beer. I really enjoy it, but for the name I would expect more peanut than chocolate.

Best by 12/18/18; drank 8/8/18 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque dark brown appearance.
A violent pour yielded a big, noisy tan head; minimal lace.
Peanut butter, caramel extract & acorn notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Peanut butter, caramel extract & rotten acorn flavors.
This tasted artificial & gross. Drain pour.

Poured from a can into a schooner, the beer is a brownish-black, dark, with a foamy, low profile, light tan head. Aromas of heavy roast forward, sweet cream highlights, and a coffee and chocolate backbone. Light on the nose...you really have to dig in there. Flavors are roasted forward, with a subtle note of char building up as you drink. Chocolate and cream notes on the palate, as well, but everything aside from the roast and char is very subdued. There is a cloying, sugary component that starts to build up as you drink, too. The body is thin and smooth, washing out the subtle milky and chocolate aftertaste. The finish is short, slick, and slightly watery. For me, I need a little more body and a little more balance in a milk stout. It's not bad, but there are much better offerings in this style out there.

Upon opening some mild carbonation, pour is midnight black with a coffee color head that lasted briefly. Smells like sweet baked goods, like a sugar cookie or such. Taste is very smooth and full of molasses/sugar and a nice stout flavor. Very good finish leaving you wanting more, also very light considering is almost jet black color. I would rate this a light med beer for sure. Very good and would drink again for sure.

Nothing exceptional. Poor aftertaste.
