Went on a slightly busy Saturday afternoon. Was surprised at tap list since it struck me as more of a trendy hangout spot as well as a place that gets crushed on hockey night (the arena being right there and all). The bartender was busy but real cool and knowledgeable, and the place had a much more relaxed local feel (complete with dogs everywhere). The tap list surprised me in that Late Start brewery's beers were quite good, but also the guest taps gave the tap list over 40 beers and even in the summer they had a great selection of stouts. Worth checking out but expect it to be crowded most nights.

Pour House has a taplist far bigger than you'd expect. The bar itself is quite long, but the rest of the space, which includes a pool table, is modest. This must be a cool, chill hangout for the lucky locals that live right above and nearby. The majority of patrons seem to come to grab a beer and hang outside in the spacious courtyard for a mellow evening...until Angry Chair descends upon the spot for a tap takeover that brings them to capacity an hour before the event starts.

Pour House really had no gameplan for this. Some kind of ill-informed daydream left them with no clue as to how much anticipation and demand there would be for an event like this. With an inexplicable stroke of genius, they decided to wait until the actual time of the event to start handing out blank paper slips for you to hand write whose tab you were on and what beers you wanted, instead of providing some kind of unique ticket at the door or prior to the event. This turned into a cluster of epic proportions with a slew of poor souls that thought they were there early enough getting shut out because they weren't at the bar or didn't already have a tab going. This was compounded by the fact that they insisted on pouring 10 ounces of each of these monster pastry stouts instead of reducing them to 5-6 ounce pours. Needless to say, kegs kicked in a hurry, but at least they know how to sell beer because plenty of people were already well on their way due to the 7venth Sun dominated taplist that flowed with gusto prior to the event.

There is no food in house, but they're cool with you bringing orders over from the City Dog Cantina next door, which is really fast and tasty, so that's a plus.

One of my favorites in all of Tampa, if not the fave! Dog friendly with free popcorn and huge selection of draft beers with rare bottles too. Staff always friendly and happy to pour as many samples as you'd like. Always rotating the tap list to stay current with new releases and seasonals. Food can be ordered and brought in from next door

Great prices and a GREAT beer selection. Even the bottles were reasonably priced. If you are with wine drinkers they have a great wine selection too. The staff is all knowledgable and friendly. Located in downtown Tampa it is one of the only beer bars. Plenty of retraunts close by and they have a menu book if you want something delivered. Around 40 beers on tap (no Macros). A++

Great place. It has a large bar running the length of the place, as well as many sofa's and chairs placed around coffee tables throughout. Dart boards are available also.

Large and very niceTap selection and many bottles, all micro no macro(except for I think Bud light in the bottle) . Knowledgeable and friendly staff who are always willing to discuss the beers provide samples etc.

It is a little difficult to find, as it is really on Madison even though it is a Kennedy address. If you're staying Downtown, Channelside or at Ybor you can just jump on a trolley to take right to it.

Well worth a stop if in Tampa.

A friend and I stopped by here before seeing Roger Waters perform The Wall at the St. Pete Times forum, which is within walking distance.

This is a big place, very modern, with a long marble bar and lots of comfy chairs and tables, as well as outside seating. Plus it's nonsmoking inside, which is really nice.

A huge tap selection. The most I've seen in Florida. And good craft beer on almost all of them.

Our bartender, who I think was Matt or Mark, was awesome. He made some great suggestions and offered us tastes of beers we weren't sure of.

Overall this is a great place. A must-visit.
