poured from a growler into shaker pint.
a light golden colored beer, very clear almost yellowish.
smells tamely of hops, somewhat more like a pale ale than an ipa.
the taste is rather mellow, this is not a hop bomb or something thats going to knock your tastebuds out. this is in the vein of the more lightly hopped ipas that have been popping up recently, much more restrained but rather tasty and very easy drinking. I would say the profile is mostly oranges with a bit of spicyness on the finish. This beer doesnt linger but has a decent hop flavor that knocks on your 'buds politely and doesnt try to kick the door down.
The mouthfeel is smooth and has nice carbonation that matches well with the orange flavors that come through.
overall this is a pretty well crafted ipa that has a nice hop profile and is rather easy to put down. Heck, I've downed a pint writing this. Refreshing and tasty, not the best and if you are getting your hop-head on, not one you should look at, but if you are looking for a more relaxed mellow type of ipa compared to what is more prevalent today this is a good option. Enjoyable.
