Looks can be deceiving! Pours a dark ruby with a bubbly tannish head which is in contrast to the creamy heads that define most stouts. Smell was weak but had a bit of an off note to it. Taste was absolutely not what I was expecting, was not creamy and had way to much carbonation for a stout. Not what I would call a milk stout. Maybe a black lager? Not a big fan.

12 oz can at the 2019 Suwannee spring Reunion. November 2018 canning date stamp.
Pours with a huge, frothy tan head that my oversized Tervis cannot hold even with the can still half full.
Off notes in the aroma.
The flavor is much better than this all portends but does carry some off notes.
Lively, light mouthfeel that's closer to creamy than to watery.
