A: Pours sligthly hazy copper with a tall off-white head, a bit uneven. Decent lacings.
S: Sweet bready malt, some dark dried fruits, but overall a very mild smell.
T: Still rather mild, dark dried fruits, sweet dark malt. Some ripe red apples.
M: Aftertaste is short and sweet. Body is on the thinner side for this style. Carbonation is mild.
O: Well, this was very standard and basic, perhaps not even an average Doppelbock.

50cl bottle poured into seidel
BBE 21 Oct 2011
A- Ruby body full of floaters. Head is 2 finger tan, retention and lacing are minimal.
S- Toffee malts, some sultana cake
T- Lots of sweet biscuity toffee malts which really just fade without any balance of toastier malts or hops. Finish is a little sticky but smooth with no alcohol heat.
M- Low carbonation, full body.
D- The sweeter malts are represented well however it needs a little more balance in the finish. I think age has affected this one due to a lack of carbonation. Not clean enough.
