Sampled today at the Rec Room bar, review from notes.
Side by side with the Gangster amber, this was only slightly darker in color. It was a woody brown color, with an initial bare skim of foam, that dissipated fast to nothing on the surface. Spotty bits of lace randomly dotted the edges. There wasn't much visible carbonation, or any in the mouthfeel either.
There was noticeable spice to the nose, cinnamon and nutmeg, maybe clove. It was fairly light and subdued, but pleasant.
Flavor was similar to the nose, vaguely malty with nutmeg and clove notes. The feel was watery and thin, and needed a boost with more body. Overall it was pleasant in flavor, but could still use some fine tuning.
