Pours a hazy dark golden-orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, lemon zest, citrus juice, floral, and spicy hop aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus fruit, citrus zest, tea, floral, and spicy hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Poured from an undated 16 ounce can into a pilsener glass.
Beer is very clear pale lemony hue with a one-finger white head made of very fine bright white bubbles. Sheeting is moderate on the drink-down.
Aroma is mild; floral perfume, earthy spices, a touch of citrus.
Flavor is an amped-up version of a traditional German pilsener: bready malts, strong bitterness and some spicy and citric notes. This is no doubt due to the use of pilsener and Munich malts and Magnum, Saphir and Sterling hops.
Mouthfeel is crisp and a little thin with good carbonation. Finish is fairly clean save for the long-lasting bitterness.
Overall, the brewers of Eagle Rock were going for a "hoppy pilsneresque ale" according to the label, and they did it.
