The beer menu at the brewery's tasting room called this "Nitro Vanilla Solidarity" as of 06/16/13. 3.80% ABV confirmed. Served on nitro draught into a taster at Eagle Rock yesterday. Reviewed from notes. Cost was $2.00.
A: Pours a one finger head with lovely nitro-indueced cream. I love that. Good thickness. Nice retention, about 4 minutes. Body coour is a dark rich amber-black. Opaque. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show. Appealing overall - especially the head.
Sm: Toasted malt, caramel, cream. Dark malts. No noticeable hop character. I love the cream. No alcohol or yeast is detectable.
T: Nice. Dark malty rich foundation. Some tasty dark malts here, but unfortunately no roasted barley - which would help it immensely. Nice vanilla bean presence. No yeast or alcohol comes through. Vanilla is a highlight here, suiting the cream well. Simple but pretty well balanced. No complexity or subtlety here. A bit too bitter, though there's no obvious hop profile to comment on.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Nicely creamy (gotta love nitro). Suits the flavour profile well. Nice thickness. Good body.
Dr: Drinkable and enjoyable for what it is; I like it. Certainly above average. I might get it again. A decent little brew from Eagle Rock. Nice for the style. Hides its admittedly modest ABV well.

On nitro tap at Boneyard Bistro in Sherman Oaks, CA.
Pours an almost opaque super dark brown with a dense khaki head that lasts. Foamy chunks of lace stick to the sides of the glass on the drink down. Smell is of roasted dark malt, slight cocoa, and some vanilla bean aromas. Taste is of roasted dark malt and some slight cocoa and vanilla flavors. There is a mild roasty bitterness on the palate after each sip. This beer has a creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Overall, this is a decent beer but the flavor is pretty lacking.
