On tap at Eagle Rock Brewery in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a murky honey orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, brown sugar, caramel, toffee, and rye whiskey aromas. Taste is much the same with caramel and whiskey flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of woody bitterness and an alcohol kick on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a nice barrel aged presence that makes this one much better than the regular version.
