Served in an Ohio State shaker pint glass.
I couldn't believe I haven't tried this one before, but my Monk's Society membership gave me the opportunity to do so. Right on. It pours a hazy tawny-amber topped by a finger of lightly off-cream foam. The nose comprises biscuit, nutmeg, a dash of cocoa powder, light candied orange peel, and some mild banana. The taste brings in more of the same, with a good deal more spice (particularly clove and brown sugar). The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a slick-ish feel. Overall, a pretty decent BPA, nothing great, but a generally enjoyable drinking experience.

Served in a pint glass at the Lucky Monk
This beer was served a hazy, bordering on cloudy, pale golden color topped by fluffy white head. The aromatics were solid on this beer. It smells as one would expect with clove and banana aromatics. The taste was pretty standard. It followed closely the nose, with the major exception being that it had a horrible finish to it. While nice and fruity upfront the was almost a rancid old hop finish to the end of the beer. The mouthfeel while light suffered from the acridness of the finish. This was drinkable, I enjoyed the glass, but like most beers from the Lucky Monk it wasn't all that great.

6oz. tap pour at Lucky Monk
(A)- Pours a hazy yellow amber-like color that produced a foamy off-white head. Some lacing left behind.
(S)- A dry banana/lemon fruitiness. A weird woody yet soapy aroma that turns almost sour.
(T)- Bitter and dry with a little lemon & lime citrus.
(M)- A good carbonation level, bitter and dry with a decent citrus backbone; just not a whole lot else.
(D)- I appreciate the attempt at the style, but its just not doing it for me. Citrusy and bitter. There is alot of yeast in this to me.

Served in a pint glass at The Lucky Monk 12/26/09. Special thanks to HeatherAnn for the assist!
A: Served a tarnished copper color featuring a decent haze. A tiny and thin, bright white head laft no lace.
S: Light aromas of green apple and/or pear, toasted malt, and honey.
T: See above, exactly.
M: Medium bodied with a surprisingly sticky finish.
D: Another fine, easy drinking beer from The Lucky Monk.

Seasonal beer, brewed on 11/3 according to the chalkboard at the bar.
Cloudy orange, soapy foam, good retention with a crown of intricate lace at the rim. Fruity Belgian yeast aroma and soapy florals.
Fruity apricot, honey, earthy herbal hops in the middle. Dried orange peel in the aftertaste that adds a pleasant quality. Light bodied with ample carbonation. Dries fast on the palate.
Promising and true to style.
2014: Had this again in June, similarly impressed by it. Would recommend.
