On cask at NotLA. Poured into tasting glass.

A - Pours black, light tan-colored head, wisps on top.

S - Light chocolate, some toffee, slightly muted, light roast.

T - Watery, chocolate, light roast, light toffee.

M - Light body, light carbonation, water finish.

O - Another beer I would pass on if offered up again. To thin and watery, even for 5%. Just tastes like water with a bit of stout to it.

6th brewery so far this weekend. Love it and it stands as a possible venue for my wedding next summer.

Pours a very dark brown with chestnut edging. There is a cascading fluff of light mocha head. Sticky fluent lace.

The nose has an abundance of chocolate malt that has been nicely roastrd to create a nice dessert scent that shows very little sign of alcohol.

The taste is chocolate flavored with a nice espresso or coffee-like roast taste. There is a small amouny of hoppy bitterness on the back end but nothing to floral, maybe a bit of pine. There is also a bit of a nut taste after the hops are noticed.

The mouthfeel is creamy and has a nice comfortable light-medium feel. Very drinkable due to a smooth feel that really works.

Overall, very nice oatmeal stout that has a great mouthfeel with body and tasty flavors as well.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.

I think this is the first beer I've seen with a name that implies loneliness. Hm. It pours a straight onyx topped by over a finger of thick tan foam. The nose comprises roasted malts, toasted oats (enough oat sound fer ya?), light chocolate, and light molasses. Everything's a bit faint, but tasty nonetheless. The taste holds notes of roasted malts, dark chocolate, light molasses, some very light char, and a hint of coffee. Once again, everything is kinda faint, in this case due to the fact that all o' these flavors show up for a moment then fade quickly into the background. Imagine a party of good-looking wallflowers. ...Something like that... The body is a straight medium, with a light carbonation and a very smooth finish, baby. Overall, a nice oatmeal stout, though one that could do well with a boost of flavor. Or something.
