Pours cloudy yellow-orange with a bubbly white head that holds good retention and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aromas fill the nose - fruity, orange, spicy, coriander, maybe some clove too. Tastes are crisp with notes of fruit, orange, grapefruit, wheat, coriander, pine, excellent balance, and finishes bitter but exceptionally clean. Mouth-feel is full bodied, very creamy, and goes down well. Overall, I haven't had many of this style, but the balance and complexity of this one I really enjoyed. Best offering I've had from the Lucky Monk to date!

Served in a Gale Sayers shaker pint glass.
Kinda just fell into picking up this month's Monk Society bottle, but I'm not gonna argue. It pours a lightly hazy sunset amber-gold topped by a finger of white foam. The nose comprises orange zest, light lemon zest, light coriander, and a good smattering of pine and cedar. The taste brings in more of the same, though the fruits now lean toward their rinds, the pine goes sappy, and a vein of wintergreen finds a way to run through the proceedings. The result isn't quite as balanced, as enjoyable, as the smell, but it's also nothing directly bad. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda dry finish. Overall, a pretty nice Belgian IPA. 'Nuff said.
