200 ml on-tap at the brewpub, on to the beer:
This is nice. The bone white milky looking head stay on top for awhile, and well, it's dark. The aroma is pleasant. There is some peppermint, nutmeg, but most notably banana. It's like a beefy "Ale Bossa".
The taste is where things become cracktastic. Something's in their yeast, and it's working magic. Crème de banana!! It's incredible. Then, you get complimenting ground clove and nutmeg. The added dimension is the nod of dark fruit flavor. It is incredibly smooth and creamy in the mouth, certainly one of the creamiest feels I've ever had.
Who said Carioca's can't brew strong beer? Not Gattopardo Cervejaria, which has worked a masterpiece with this brew. Even during the hot and muggy weather I experienced while drinking this beer, I felt extremely good after this one. Strong Bossa is reason enough to visit this brewpub in the Leblon section of Rio de Janeiro.
