This came in one of the bulbous Sam Adams pint glasses.
Appearance: Extremely dirty blond and murky and hazy, as if it was the very bottom of the keg that the pour came from. Little head, though it perks up with a subsequent swirl or two, and I do like the murkiness of it.
Smell: Mild fruit, possibly the faintest earthy phenolic activity, and some sweetness. Fruit esters are more on the citrus side, along with some sweeter strawberries.
Taste: Mild, mild earthy phenolics, and a decent sense of fruit esters and mild citrus. The thing is, the finish dies fairly quickly, and you really have to work to get any lingering semblance of the flavor.
Mouthfeel: There's a mild sense of chalkiness with what I imagine to be all the yeast, giving it the haziness, but there's a good amount of carbonation that doesn't make it too watery and makes it more on the medium-bodied side of things.
Drinkability: Honestly, this seems like it came from an extract kit instead of being infused with quality ingredients. Is it drinkable and sessionable? Yes. But for $4 a pint, I'd go with something from another brewery instead of Bandwagon's own beers next time.
