Bandwagon's Chocolate Covered Raspberry Stout has a dark brown body with ruby highlights and an opaque core. The brown head fades quickly without leaving any lacing behind.
The aroma is mostly chocolate, with doses of both raspberry and roasted malt.
The flavor follows suit. Chocolate comes through first, and is definitely the strongest flavor in the beer. Next comes a mild raspberry flavor, which is followed by a bit of roasted malt. The finish has just a tinge of hop characteristic to it.
The mouthfeel is well done. Creamy with the appropriate amount of carbonation.
Not bad at all, Bandwagon has been brewing some pretty good stouts lately.
