01/21/05- On tap at the HMB Brewery.
Presentation- 4 oz sampler part of a 2 day 4 sampler binge.
Apperance- Dark brown, maybe even reddish-black color. Off white small head and decent lacing.
Smell- I sense mosty a dark coffee roast smell. It overpowers almost everything.
Taste- Nice semi-sweet chocolate and coffee intermixed with some roast nutty flavors. Nice mixture.
Mouthfeel- Lightly carbonated and a tad creamy. Light mouthfeel.
Drinkability- Not a bad stout. Lots of flavor after it warms up as it was my 5th of 8 samples each time.
