Poured from can into pint glass. A shade more pale than golden, modest head, some lacing. Clean, almost understated smell, almost like it's waiting to be unwrapped. Then the taste gets your attention - effervescent, bordering on tingly on the tongue; tropical fruit, and a wonderful dankness that grows rather than recedes...almost like how a good wasabi starts warm and gets WARM. Definitely get that piney pop from the Simcoe hops. Bring this to the next poker party and none will be left at the end - wonderful West Coast IPA.

I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a seven sample flight. It poured a clear golden with white head that left some lace. The scent had good bitter citrus and pine notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. There was bitter citrus fruit and pine resin presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Draft at the brewery
Crystal clear pale color with fair creamy head, light retention, low lacing
Nose big tropical fruit, guava all over, generic citrus, papaya, passion fruit maybe, a bit of pine in the background
Taste pine and mild resin up front turning to spicy hop with med to a bit higher bitterness, then more dank typical fruit, guava, papaya, light grainy malt, drier finish with more pine and tropical fruits lingering, high bitterness
Mouth is med bod, med to a bit higher frothy carb
Overall pretty classic west coast ipa
