On tap at the brewpub. I asked what this was and the guy said "summer wheat ale," which seemed strange because it seemed like a Belgian pale ale or IPA to me. I later got clarification regarding what it was.
Hazy golden color with a decently formed white head sitting on top. Slight lacing.
Aroma is pale malt, Belgian yeast, orange/lemon, and earthy hops. Slightly spicy.
Flavor is pretty nice. Good spiciness from the Belgian yeast and hops. Pale malt for the base along with some slight citric notes.
Medium-bodied with an appropriate level of carbonation.
This was one of my favorites at HMBBC. It's not too authentic, but it's fairly balanced and well-done.
