The brewers blended their Cherry Brown and Melky Stout for this one.
Poured dark brown with a finger of dark khaki head. Roasty aroma with cocoa and hints of tart cherry.
Moderate carbonation and a full mouthfeel. Tart cherry up front mixed with chocolate and some mild roasty coffee that becomes more pronounced on the finish.
Nicely balanced. The cherries are just a bit tart and seem to become sweeter as the beer warms. Paired with dessert this beer becomes every more dry and the milk stout elements really shine.
