Odense 19/7 2021. 60 cl bottle from Kvickly, Vestergade, Svendborg. A ominous barrel on the black label.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a big, fluffy, off-white head. Settles as 1,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is fairly intense though a bit dampened by the foam. Sweet, roasted scent mingling with a dark alcohol. Roasted bitter coffee, chocolate and hints of brown sugar. Caribbean Rum.
Light carbonation. Fairly thick, oily, fat, slightly viscous, quite flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy burn. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry with a sweet touch.
A quite powerful coffee boozer which actually enhances the original Black Monster with a solid coffee boost and a extra shot of alcohol.
