Copenhagen 21/6 2019. 60 cl bottle from Rema 1000, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh NV. Maroon version of Aarhus Bryghus' usual label design.
Pours clear amber brown with a small white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet and lightly roasted. Caramel, dark, roasted malts, light aroma of something burnt. A sharp, harsh odor lurking in the background.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, oily texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a medium strong, slightly harsh bitterness. Aftertaste is fairly bitter. Lingering for a while.
Surprisingly bitter Brown Ale. A little rough around the edges but not without charm.

- from the notes and during a tasting party with Danish beers.
A - a ruddy brown ale with a small foamy head.
S - malty caramel aroma.
T - a bit of dark fruit in the taste but mostly there is brown and caramelized sugar.
M - medium bodied with light to moderate carbonation.
D - I wouldn't hunt it down for a session but try it if you see it.
