Aarhus Bryghus Mørk IPA at 6% alk. is an India Pale Ale, inspired by the modern IPAs. However, this IPA is darker to please the Scandinavian taste buds.
The dark ale is spiced with 5 different hops: English Fuggles and East Kent Goldings, German Cascade and Perle and American Mosaic.
All hops are aroma hops. Most are added to the wort kettle just before cooling, while 20% are added as "dry hops" to the filtered cold beer just before bottling.

Copenhagen 28/7 2020. 60 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen, Vesterbro Torv, Aarhus. Aarhus’ usual design which looks a bit like information from the Municipal authorities about public health. This time with light blue background.
Pours clear, dark amber with a red hue. big white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as frothy, 1 cm thin layer of foam crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a malty, sweet, roasted odor with lighter citric notes. Caramel and toffee. Cooked vegetables. Citrus and grape fruit.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a lighter citric bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish.
Not terrible. Not great. I usually like my Dark IPA's a tad more bitter.
